Senior Bid Specialist for Spain


Purpose of the role:
The Senior Bid Specialist is responsible for coordinating complex international bidding negotiations on behalf of Vodafone Group. The candidate will have the chance to work with key internal stakeholders as well as international Enterprise Customers from around the world and have a strong impact on Vodafone’s sales strategy to meet customers’ complex requirements.

 

Your tasks will be:
• Being responsible for global (multi-country) and high complexity bids/ RFPs with bespoke elements, where limited or no standard content is available. Manage these bid projects/ RFP responses from qualification to submission or contracting, where limited bespoke solution and complete bespoke proposal content are required
• Ensure that the appropriate stakeholders are involved
• Facilitate efficient communication of bid strategy and the Vodafone propositions on meetings with customers upon request. Build the bid presentation and coach the team
• Lead sign-on/ bid qualification meetings
• Make sound decisions based on inputs received
• Review and presents the commercial propositions of a proposal
• Based on a high level understanding of technically bespoke solutions, assess implications of changes compared to standard offerings
• Manage opportunity qualification & approval.
• Manage complex opportunities, customer relations and risks associated with bidding/ no-bidding.
• Assess risks related to the bid, all over its lifecycle. Proposes mitigation
• Based on an understanding of various contracting possibilities and main legal/commercial terms and conditions, propose right alternative for the given opportunity
• Identify new content that may be reusable

 

This position is for you if you have:
• Native or advanced Spanish language knowledge
• Fluent English language knowledge
• Experience in bids & proposals in purchasing and in sales
• Experience in customer facing negotiations (desired)
• Strategic project management knowledge
• Commercial and/or sales experience
• Analytical and decision-making skills
• Experience in telecommunication sector is an advantage
