Title: Sales Operations Analyst

Role Purpose

Vodafone Red Edge is a new, cutting edge division of the Vodafone Group with a global focus on corporate inside sales. We have a multi-channel approach to digital sales using the newest and best technology.


The Red Edge function has two main hubs in Valencia and Dublin; it is a fast growing vertical function within MSO, responsible for Inside Sales across Vodafone local markets and internal lines of business with a global headcount of approximately 400 FTE and set to expand threefold in the next three years

The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting sales through commercial processes to ensure the effective flow of information between Inside Sales and its partners, particularly Vodafone OpCo’s, in order to optimise the customer experience and bring revenues forward.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Responsible for all aspects of performance reporting including; development of actuals and pipeline variance analysis and highlight out of line metrics to management team.

  • Report on the weekly achievements for managers and reps across all relevant stakeholders (OpCo and Inside Sales)

  • Prepare ad-hoc analytical reports as required

  • Proactively recommend areas for improvement & growth

  • Ensure the effective management of prospect and customer data as Data Steward for our CRM system, salesforce.com

  • Ownership of all RED Edge tooling and continuous improvement of all tools including Qlik, SUMO

  • General administration duties to include,

    • Sales support

    • Stakeholder engagement

Key performance indicators:

  • Interpretive reporting that identifies key trends for sales leadership and finance

  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly KPI reporting to senior management

  • Timely, accurate submissions to comply with Vodafone Group Enterprise governance

  • Contribution towards improved customer facing vs admin time for front line functions through process review that constantly puts pressure on internal administrative burdens


Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Excellent numeric and analytical skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience of Salesforce.com reporting to an advanced level, Salesforce.com ADM201 certification an advantage

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team work and collaboration skills
  • High energy and a can do attitude

Must have technical / professional qualifications:


  • Fluent in English

  • Previous telecoms experience

  • Expert Excel, Powerpoint & Visualisation tools

  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience of a similar role
