Role Title: Partner Manager (m/w) Finance Shared Services and Local Markets
Location: Duesseldorf

Role Purpose:

Group Finance Operations is a vertical function across all Vodafone markets and is the operational heart that is accountable for the delivery of all financial actuals across Vodafone and shaped by a high shared service centre penetration across many global end-to-end processes.


This role is to support the Team Lead to establish a strong Partner Management Shared Services & Operational Performance function on global level. The role purpose is to help to define, govern and steer the strategic targets and initiatives across all FinOps markets to develop, align and implement the long- to short term performance targets of VF Group Finance Operations.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Support the adequate governance of all relevant FinOps projects worldwide which are significant drivers to achieve the performance targets

  • Support a strong partner relationship management function acting on behalf of all markets

  • Define and implement a harmonised framework in all local markets and the shared service centre

    • define and develop a Master Service Agreement for all markets and FSSC

    • give assurance of operational delivery through definition and measurement of common KPIs

    • define measures for improvement activities

  • Execute the Finance Operations partner management agenda with a focus on service delivery performance monitoring. With a strong link to IT

    • analyse business needs and develop data analytics

    • translate business needs into qualitative and quantitative measures and track their development

    • manage standardisation and automation projects

  • Conduct improvement projects aiming at accounting process optimisation in the environment of Finance Operations and partner organisations

  • Control the headcount and OPEX budget on global scale

  • Manage the communication to stakeholders of the local markets, global process team and shared service organisation and develop people transformation programmes

  • Promote the success factors in ways of working in an environment shaped by a high shared service centre penetration

Your Profile:
  • University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, etc.

  • Experience preferably in Telecommunications Industry

  • Expertise in shared service centre operating models and in operational performance management

  • Strong Finance background ideally combined with relevant IT experience

  • Strong change management skills

  • Very strong cooperation, coordination, communication and presentation skills

  • Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders and conflict management

  • Fluent English (verbal and written) and ideally German

  • Readiness to travel
