Global Project Coordinator

  •  To lead and take ownership of end-to-end Group TES projects, or lead a work stream on large complex programs.
  • To adhere to a defined delivery methodology, in such a way that each underlying project or work stream is accomplished to the complete satisfaction of the sponsor (internal or external), on schedule, quality assured and within budget.
  • To ensure that projects are planned, coordinated and communicated in a professional manner, keeping stakeholders regularly informed of progress, and ensuring that all stakeholder expectations are managed and that commitments are consistently met.
  • With the responsibility of managing virtual teams and reporting to Senior Management.
  • Effectively manage project budgets and revenue plans.
  • Prepare and deliver Project Plans (outlining the tasks, dependencies and timeframes) as to be baseline and then placed under change control in accordance with the defined methodology.
  • Define & document scope & approach to a project ensuring that in accordance with defined governance there is suitable initiation documentation & approvals prior to delivery.  
  • Track record of on-time, on-budget & to-specification delivery of projects.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects across full life-cycle is essential
  • Experience of delivering IT/Telecommunications projects and services across multiple geographies is advantageous
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal & external customers, delivery partners and external vendors.
  • Management of multiple stakeholders, with a range of cultural backgrounds, frequently with English as a second language.
  • Lead the virtual project team (as the overall primary point of contact and escalation point), coordinate all project delivery activities and ensure that all key milestones are met.
  • Execute the project governance and chair both operational and strategic project review boards.
  • Provide accurate progress reporting to stakeholders at various levels in accordance with project-specific communications plans,
  • Engage & manage external third parties (where relevant) alongside internal resources as defined by the project.
  • Ensure a comprehensive hand-over to the Customer and/or Service Management team at the close of each project.
  • Carry out Lessons Learned activity, and ensure that documentation of such is available for future improvement activities.
  • Assess, record & mitigate risks / dependencies against project delivery in terms of time, quality &/or budget. 
  • Identify, record & manage project issues providing effective & timely escalation where appropriate.

 

  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and decision making skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate project teams to successfully deliver the within agreed time scales, assigned budget and to high quality standards. Be effective in crossing country-specific cultural divides.
  • ITILv3 Foundation

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMI-PMP equivalent
