Overall Purpose: Responsible for creation of written content, content organization, and content management for digital properties across both desktop and mobile applications.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: With little to no supervision, writes, edits, and enhances content to meet established tone and style standards, and business requirements; develops content strategy, and implements content updating process. Originates content for new pages and experiences from templates or other existing pages. Interfaces with multi-functional team, reviewing and approving website content to ensure consistent tone of voice and editorial style standards. Serves as representative to design community with current and complete rationales. Collaborates with internal and external team members, representing the content direction on the overall design solution. Applies expert knowledge, principles, theories, concepts and writing ability to large and complex project deliverables. May oversee work performed by others to ensure quality and serves as inspiration to the direction of the unit, while not directly managing people. Requires expert-level writing and editing skills, as well as an expert working knowledge of current web content development practices.

 

·        Works within a multi-discipline digital experience team, including Content Strategy, UI Designers, UX architects, as well as team members responsible for Web Analytics, Product Management, Project Management, Business Analysis, UX Research, and Testing/Optimization.

·        Translates business requirements into content strategy and champions digital best practices.

·        Develops new pages and edits existing content within an enterprise CMS.

·        Conducts competitive analysis and research, works to align brand voice with digital content, and determines the best ways to communicate promotional, transactional, and informational data to customers.

·        May oversee work performed by others to ensure quality and serve as inspiration to team members, while not directly managing people.

·        Creates internal processes for content development, editing, implementation, testing and releases, and works with digital, marketing, and IT teams to implement these practices.

·        Competent in basic HTML, comfortable managing and setting up CMS platforms, and working closely with developers to bring business and user requirements to life.

·        Familiar with SEO and SEM and comfortable managing relationships with external agencies and vendors to fulfill these needs.

·        Requires expert-level writing and editing skills, as well as an expert working knowledge of current web content development practices.

Education: Preferred Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing,

Creative Writing or equivalent experience

Experience: Intermediate-level, real- world experience in design (5-8 years) with working knowledge of managing projects independently.

Supervisory: nice to have.
