The primary purpose of this role is to deliver analyt ical / decision services to Vodafone’s businesses across the globe. The r ole works with departments across Vodafone (e.g. Finance, Technology, and Comme rcial teams), and is a part of the Vodafone Shared Services organisation in Ind ia.

 

The incumbent works on the assigned projects& it 's stakeholder to understand the business challenges faced by them. Using exper tise in analytics, the incumbent provide structured and data-backed analytics s olutions to create bottom-line impact for the business. The role leverages / re -engineers existing solutions to delivery efficiently. The role also demands an innovation led approach to delivery through the use of evolving analytical tec hniques / technologies.

 

 The cand idate works with the assigned business stakeholder(s) to agree scope, deliverab les, process and expected outcomes from the products and services developed.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

 

  • Support build & deployment of analytical solutions (models, hypothesis, an alyses & scenarios) across the spectrum of analytical maturity  - descriptive, inferential, predictive & prescriptive

  • Drive efficiencies in how analytical services are delivered, through automation and standardisatio n of analytical delivery

  • Provide a delightful and “easy to work” experience to the business stakeholders while se tting clear expectations

 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

 

  • PhD / Masters in Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics or similar / MBA from a premier B-s chool

  • Minimum experience of 3 years in Consulting or Analytics / 0 years in case of MBA from a top 10 B-schools of India

  • Excellent communication & presentation sk ills with track record of engaging with business project leads

  • Flexibility and prob lem solving

  • Previous experience in Telecom wou ld be a distinct advantage

 

Key performance indicators [max 3]:

 

  • Analytics solutions models (Proof of concepts, Proofs of value, Au tomated models)

  • Creation of reusable, defined analytical products (including documentation and, where ap propriate, training)

  • Visualisation of results< span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  / Presentation of output

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

 

  • Hands on experience inAnalyt ical tools like SAS, SPSS, R with through knowledge of various analytical & statistical techniques

  • Adequate exposure to Data visualisation toolslike Tableau, Qlikview, SAS Visual Analytics, etc.

  • Exceptional data manipulation and analysis te chniques; comfortable using very large (>10’s millions rows) datasets, containing both structured and unstructured data

  • Experience in use of Big Data technologies (e.g.Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.) i s desirable
